Updates on a few upcoming development projects in our community. Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) Pu’unani Homestead project, along with Waikapu Venture Development (Emmanuel Lutheran property) will give a status on their respective projects.
As we are in the 2021 Hurricane season, the Waikapu Community Association will have guest speakers from the County of Maui Department of Public Works, and Emergency Management to discuss disaster prevention and preparedness, the ongoing flooding and ponding in our community. We can also utilize this time to ask the guest speakers what will be the best practices to minimize the effects, or prevent this from happening altogether.
A history presentation by the WCA History Committee: “Kuʻu Home O Waikapu” (Our sweet Waikapu home).
