Please join us Monday, March 13, 2023 at 7 pm for our Waikapu Community Association General Membership Meeting via Zoom. See Zoom meeting invite below.
Jane Tesoro of the Waikapu History Committee will report on our plans to work with the Sugar Museum. Hawaii State Representative Troy N. Hashimoto of House District 10 will join us to provide a legislative update. County Council Chair Alice Lee will share information on the current and upcoming county budget. Hokuao Pellegrino will give us a quick history of waterways, water use and why it is important to Waikapu.
Though the Association is still waiting for information from the developer, we are looking for input from the community regarding the new Kaulana Mahina apartment complex, across from Longs at the corner of Waiale Road and Kuikahi Drive. We are seeking community questions and open dialog regarding impacts on the traffic this complex may create in an already congested area, as well as concerns regarding community beautification aspects of the project.
